Choosing the right welding school is a big decision, and Lincoln Tech is one of the most well-known names in technical education. But does its welding program live up to the hype? Here’s what students love about Lincoln Tech—and what they wish they had known before enrolling.

What Students Love About Lincoln Tech’s Welding Program

Nationwide Campus Locations
One of Lincoln Tech’s biggest advantages is its multiple campus locations, making it more accessible for students across the country.

Industry-Recognized Training
Lincoln Tech offers welding certifications that are widely recognized in the industry, which can give graduates a leg up in the job market.

Hands-On Learning Environment
Students appreciate the practical, hands-on training that allows them to build real-world welding skills rather than just sitting through lectures.

Things Students Aren't in Love With...

High Tuition Costs
Lincoln Tech’s tuition is considered high compared to other welding schools. Some students feel that the cost isn’t justified, especially when factoring in additional fees for equipment and supplies.

Inconsistent Instructor Quality
While many instructors are experienced, some students report inconsistent teaching quality across different campuses.

Limited One-on-One Training
With large class sizes at some locations, students sometimes struggle to get the individual attention they need to perfect their skills.

Mixed Job Placement Success
Although Lincoln Tech offers job placement assistance, securing a job still depends on the student’s effort, location, and willingness to relocate.

"Horrible training. Very few good teachers in between. Many people owe a lot of money because of this school and they did not get the hard work and dedication that was put into their school work returned back to them from the staff. I know no one that was able to get an accredited cert." – Oni Knight (1 Star)
The teachers are great! Friendly and respectful. – Blanca Rinehart (5 Stars)

Highest Rated Location:  Mahwah, New Jersey

"I dread coming here everyday because it truly feels like a waste of time. the teachers do not teach. one of the teachers sit and vape all class. he doesn’t do a thing at all. we do not learn anything. every monday and wednesday we have a different teacher than on tuesday and thursday and they don’t communicate and have no idea what’s going on. lol it really is a joke i swear. half of the time we sit there on our computers watching videos. the only thing that keeps me pushing is that i’m guaranteed a job immediately after graduating." – KB (1 Star)
"Attending here was well worth it. I was able to learn and now do things on my own that I had never thought I would be able to understand before . And even if you feel like you can’t while attending the school, the administrators and instructors will have your back and make sure your comfortable and fully understand what your achieving to learn.  Also administrators such as Nicole Simons is the perfect representation of motivation and will do her best to make sure you make it through anything you face . An amazing year and experience." – Alex Figueroa
